The most obvious benefit of our system is it's endurance. It is now possible to go from Everest top camp to the summit and back again using one 3-litre cylinder (approx 22½ hours at 2-litre/minute).
Other advantages are:
. Method of delivery. The oxygen is delivered via a silicone nasal cannula which allows the user to eat, drink, communicate and have an improved field of vision during use. A facemask is also provided for people who have difficulty using a cannula or simply prefer to use a facemask.
. Compatibility. All equipment is compatible, regardless of which size cylinder is being used.
. Environment. Using
our system, far less cylinders are needed on the mountain. Having
the capability to use a single cylinder on summit day
vastly reduces the number of cylinders discarded on
the mountain.
The cylinders are refilled
by Summit Oxygen. All servicing, maintenance and repair
will be carried out by our qualified engineers. The system
will be operating in the harshest conditions so it is paramount
that the equipment is looked after in accordance with our
maintenance schedules.
